This was really sweet :D I loved how the two sides interacted with one another so they could meet up again, and appreciated the lack of violence/threats/death scenes lol/etc. Very cozy and lovely!
Thank you Beth! That's very sweet of you! I'm happy you liked the nonviolent nature of the game. Overall I've been happy to see many interesting games about other things than conflict this Ludum Dare.
And thank you for the LD link, I forgot to include it on the page before, but I added now that you've reminded me ;)
Short and sweet, nice game. Although, the objects can swap between panels (flower, ladder, coin) but the characters can not? That wasn’t very intuitive and seemed a bit arbitrary imho
Thank you! And thank you for the feedback! That’s a valid point haha 😆 I thought it would be fun to be able to exchange objects between the panels, but I don’t have any good explanation for why it would work and I agree it’s a bit unintuitive. I guess I could just wave my hands and say ”magic” 🤣
Great concept and execution. I particularly like that the hover destination shows a new pose and sfx. less pixel hunting and I can think more about the experience, very neat.
btw vidarn, I've recently returned to gbg after many years making games overseas. I'm looking to connect with developer here. Where's the best place to contact you? You've listed mastedon on your site but it's doesn't look like it's been active for a while.
Thank you, I appreciate it a lot! I’m happy the hover interactions landed well.
Welcome back to Gothenburg 😁 It would be nice to connect! You can send a mail to vidar at vidarnel.se and we’ll talk there. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Oh man, I remember feeling A very small seed captured something truly special, and this is incredibly touching in a similar way. I mean, I may also just be easily manipulated by emotionally resonant pointing and clicking, but either way this is so my jam and I'm very glad it exists.
